What Was Prohibition???

They Say

Experts say that Prohibition was just an experiment. At the time many believe that alcohol wasextremely

negative. There seemed to be just one way of solving this issue; ban the manufacture,sale, or transpor-

tation of all alcohol beverages. During that time, females thought of alcohol to be affecting their husbands

to become aggressive totheir families.Not only did

the wives of the familythink that but it seemed as if

all men were affectingfamilies, their health, and how

they were performingat work. It seemed as if all their

incidences of violenceand crime were involved with

alcohol. The governmentagreedand passed the 18th

amendment stated that;

“The manufacture, sale, ortransportation of intoxicating liquors within, theimportation

thereof into, or the exportationthereof from the United States and all territory subject to

the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited.”

This seemed to be the solution to all problems. Not only did this not work, but it increased more

dangerous acts and crime in the community as well.

That’s what they said, But What Was It Really For ? ? ?

To make Alcohol, and Alcohol Fue Illegal and let Gasoline take over, but only in the US.

After that happened they repealed the law and let people drink again ! ! !

U.S. and Europe. Ethanol was the first fuel used byAmerican cars before gasoline.

1896Henry Ford’sfirst car, the Quadra cycle, ran on ethanol.

1908TheFord Model Tis introduced. It can run on ethanol or Gasoline

1919 Prohibitionpolice destroyed corn alcoholstills,which some farmersused to produce low cost

ethanol fuel.

1920 Ethyl alcohol was blended with gasoline in every industrialized nationexcept the United States.

Then when Ethanol Fuel was gone they let people drink again!
